Charlevoix, Michigan

This quaint little town on the shores of Lake Michigan is a perfect destination for a weekend getaway. Stroll the streets to explore local restaurants and boutique shopping, with beautiful Lake Michigan as the backdrop.

Here are a few of my favorite stops:

Cherry Republic

Even if you’re not a huge cherry fan, you definitely need to check out this store. You will be amazed at all the things they make out of cherries; mustard, salsa, wines, coffee, and jams. And there are free samples!

Round Lake Bookstore

Local bookstore with an impressive selection. We love stopping in to get our beach reads

That French Place

Charlevoix has French roots and this little cafe shows them off! Enjoy a wide selection of French pastries and grab a coffee while shopping

Bridge Street Taproom

Local restaurant with a beautiful outdoor patio when you can sip on drinks or eat dinner.

Thistle Clothing Store

Very cute boutique style shopping at a reasonable price

Hardwood Gold Cafe

Great place to stop in for a bold cup of coffee

Happy Troll Deli and Pub

Inexpensive lunch spot to grab a quick sandwich. They also have a wide selection of pies and baked goods

I’m Morgan, the creator behind this blog. I’m just your average traveler, trying to see the world on a mid-range budget. I try to take a few international trips a year, and several domestic trips as well. I travel with my husband Evan, friends, and sometimes solo.
