Girls Trip: Waco, Texas

Looking for a unique girls weekend idea? Waco, Texas offers boutique shopping, delicious foods, warm weather, and of course the Silos for Fixer Upper Fans.

To get to Waco you can fly into Austin or Dallas and rent a car. We chose Dallas, due to the flight being cheaper, but they are both under a two drive from Waco.

We stayed at Hilton Waco, right downtown. It has a beautiful pool and outdoor patio area that we enjoyed with daily afternoon pool naps. We were walking distance to the river walk and all the shopping downtown including the Silos.

We are both big fans of Fixer Upper, so our first stops were shopping at the Silos. Highly recommend stopping by the bakery for their famous cupcakes…they live up to the hype.

You can also stop by the coffee shop Pressed. The inside is adorable but we chose to sit out in the patio area.

Besides shopping there is lawn games for the kids, including cornhole and a vintage baseball field. There are many food trucks to pick from so we got lunch and then watched a baseball game.

For dinner we went Ninfa’s Mexican Restaurant, which is right across from the Hilton. The food was amazing, as well as the margaritas!

I’d recommend walking around downtown and checking out the local shops and markets. On Saturday morning we went to the Waco’s farmer market. We then visited some unique boutiques downtown. I love supporting local businesses!

The Silos all lit up at night!

Overall, Waco makes for the perfect girls weekend getaway. It has the food, warm weather, and shopping to make for a great weekend with your bestie!
